a whole new meaning to cold feet
To lose courage.
i haven't gone outside the house since two days ago.. and i can't help but wonder what the feeling would be like.. sure i was not in some kind of a serious/traumatic accident, but i still clearly remember the feeling and everything about that day.. i've told myself that i'd be watchful from now on.. hopefully i can stick to that, i must stick to that.. i can't let that happen again.. i was lucky that day, and i'm not sure if i'd be as lucky next time.. so if possible, there won't be a next time.. and the only way to do that is to be careful and get some presence of mind.. hehe.. so i'm gonna have to control the absent-minded me so there wouldn't be an injured me.. geez..
ok.. i will not assume coz that would make an ass out of u and me.. still, i have this link here if ever you want to see how that unfortunate event made my foot look like.. didn't put the picture directly though so you'd have the option to see it or not.. it isn't the loveliest sight so if you don't want to get all disgusted, i say don't dare.. hehe..

*points upward* a date to remember
says an employee who walked pass me this morning..
while i was on my way over to the office, i was thinking about things that i've already learned from my training.. i started to enumerate.. i came up with the following.. first, i've learned how to lazily roll my self out of bed early in the morning.. which is something i seldom do on school days.. second, i've learned how to drink water every chance i can get coz my throat transforms to a desert when i'm in the office, i only get to ingest anything during lunch break.. third, i've learned that because i don't get to eat there, i have to eat breakfast at least.. but since i usually run late, i've also learned, fourth, how to eat on the bus.. i'm actually starting to master its art.. fifth, i've learned that in order to entertain myself, i should get used to staring at the table where the sign "Welcome to Eng'g Dept. SARS Free" is written.. sixth, i've learned that it is true that mice really play when the cat is away.. seventh, and most importantly coz i'll use this in the future, i've learned to realize the purpose of pedestrian lanes and how we should use them for our own sake.. sincerely..
i can swear to God, i didn't see it coming.. none of it.. not the car and most of all, not the situation.. not when i thought i was careful.. so i guess, i wasn't careful enough.. *figures* to be honest, i was kinda shocked.. well, who wouldn't be? i didn't know what to do, what to feel even.. i think i said i'm sorry to the driver 10 times.. i know i shouldn't be sorry, but i just can't help but think that i've caused him a lot of trouble.. not to mention all the other employees in the office, who were very accommodating.. *sighs* but of course, i'm thinking of the bright side.. there must be one right?.. seems like i figured it out already.. don't know how to say it though without sounding cheesy.. i'll just put it as although my ankle's torturing me, this day has been a very touching day.. and i couldn't be more thankful.. one more think i've learned is that, despite what happened to me, i still see my self as a lucky person coz at least my foot is the only thing that hurts.. and because i'm undeniably surrounded by wonderful people, especially friends..

doing what i do best part III
on my way to do some errands, i ran into an immediate family member (don't wanna specify) of an old friend (and by old friend, i mean someone who i haven't spoken to for a long time).. our families were acquainted (at least from 8 years ago) so there was the usual 'how are yous'.. then the i-thought-would-be-a-small-talk turned out to be an unexpected-30-minute-talk-standing-up.. well, the family member did most of the talking, i just did my part and nod my head once in a while, let a shy laugh go, and sometimes say 'yeah'.. really, it wasn't supposed to be awkward.. and it was really nice that after all those years, i've finally gotten the chance to catch up on things with their family.. i just feel like she shouldn't be spilling out everything about them to me since me and my old friend haven't spoken to each other for 3 years to begin with.. i think if somebody who should be telling me all that jazz about them, it's definitely my old friend.. don't get me wrong, i appreciate the talk that i had with the family member, but i'm really starting to get uncomfortable and i have to end that conversation as soon as a pause arrives.. why? well, because i was starving!.. one of the reasons i went out was to buy food anyway.. so i sneaked out by saying, "uhmm..i have to go, i have to return this.." *flashes the movie i'm holding* and it's true, i really had to bring that movie back.. and.. to buy food.. heh.. just what hungry people do..

doing what i do best part II
radio stations are on vacation starting today.. nice that rx was on at least til noon.. all i can hear with other frequencies was that stupid static sound.. and i think that would go on until tomorrow.. on the bright side, tv's not boring today! yipee! the marathon saved the day! but i didn't catch the entire Gilmore Girls, just the first three hours.. 'cause Grey's Anatomy's rerun was on at 2 then CSI's was on at 3.. then as usual, i fell asleep after those shows.. well, that's starting to become my routine, you know, that late afternoon nap.. i notice that i've been doing that these last few days.. radio in the morning 'til around brunch, tv at lunch, more tv (and/or a movie) afterwards, then sleep, then tv again.. whoa! that's one hell of a life, i'm having.. wait! am i having a report on my lately-tv-driven life? oh no, i'm not.. *faces the other side*
have you seen the new Coldplay video? i'm actually liking the song.. the lyrics were nice.. but i'm not talking about the song, i'm talking about the video.. there were these two dancers who dance (figures..) on the side while the band was playing.. he is 25, (who, by the way, doesn't even look close to 25, maybe to 35!hihi) and she is 84!! gadd!.. they were dancing like they were just a couple of teenage gymnasts! he's flipping her to the left, to the right, up, down like she has no tendencies of getting dizzy easily at her age.. and hello? a little respect for the elderly?!.. (standardize that!) the host on the video was right, i also don't know whether to laugh, to cry, i don't know what to feel or not to feel for that matter.. it's inspiring that she can still do that despite her age, but it just doesn't look right, you know..
i haven't been so decisive about my bg music.. i can't seem to stick to one particular song.. today it's this song, tomorrow, it's that song, the next day, it's another song.. i want to have all the nicest songs playing here but i couldnt.. well, i wouldn't actually.. though i want a lot of songs, i also want one song.. but i couldn't decide!.. early this morning, i heard this song over the radio, and i told to my self, "this! i'll put this song in my blog!" and apparently i did.. and i'm keeping it here for the mean time.. maybe nobody knows but this song became my favorite when i was uhmm in 3rd? no! 4th year high school i think.. love the words.. hehe i remember something about this song back in 2002.. it was around 1 in the morning, i couldn't sleep, and i was listening to Magic.. since not as much people listens at that time, i decided to request for this song 'cause i know it would be played instantly.. it was! i was really happy when it was played 'cause i really liked this song back then.. and it's starting to come back to me..
actually, i still do that.. request for a song on the radio.. i haven't done it personally though (i lack the nerve and the money for NDD hehe).. i usually do it via text or via the internet.. there was a time, in high school, that i even used to chat on the Magic website then i'd get the on-air dj to play as many requests as i wanted (they're friendly with chatters coz there's not a lot of them).. hehe.. but it's not as frequent as it used to be.. i only do requests when i feel like it.. and i don't chat there anymore (i haven't seen their site lately, even) changing topic.. you know, i want to call the goodnight show, i mean good times show, sometime.. i think it would be fun.. not to talk incessantly about how much i enjoy the show (actually, i don't get to listen to them that much anymore) but just to experience calling the station and talk to them for a while.. at least before they end the show and Mo leaves for good.. (oh please no!)
so, i think i've told enough.. have to go, anyway.. If Only at 9pm.. we'll see if it'll have the same effect on me.. til next!

doing what i do best
and that would be nothing..
Dear Blog,
begging my sister, whichever comes first!hehe) for the one with the flag.. on the other hand, (sounds like a conclusion no?), i bought another flip flop the other day.. the one shown on the pic.. yes, your eyes are not playing tricks on you, it is an Old Navy flip flop.. and the more shocking part was that contrary to what i expect, it is not that expensive.. coz if it is, i wouldn't have bought it..hehe.. at first i doubt its authenticity, but when i saw the tag ($3.50), i thought it couldn't be fake if it was shipped from the US, could it?.. so i bought it.. then i saw over their site that it is actually its price.. maybe the store was selling out their stocks so they had it on sale coz i got it for P129.00.. i repeat, P129!.. An Old-Navy flip flop for P129! Did i say P129?!.. hehehe.. sweet!Posted @ 21:25 | PermaLink | 0 comments |

Tradition no more?!
and as for those who are still in school like myself, well, that's life.. what more can i say?..hehe..

personally, i don't want to end this some sort of a tradition yet.. i still want to crash Kaye's house and enumerate all 50 of us and figure out who's missing in the list.. i still want someone to call our classmates to inform them (i really don't do this calling thing ever since).. i still want to go around Cavite City at night, knock at our classmate's doors and convince them to go with us.. (we used to go around by motorcycle, now we have a car, so what's next? hehe) i still want to collect money.. i still want to wake up early, go to the market and lose our minds over budget.. i still want to panic over things we forget to buy (i.e. water!) i still want to feast, boodlefight style! i still want to take pictures (so i end up being not in them..) i still want to leave the resort around 4am and stay whether at the street in front of Kaye's house or Rhia's garage.. i still want to go home groggy out of exhaustion.. and most of all, i still want to hear news (aka gossips, scandals, etc. hehe) about people we know..
*sighs* hopefully, i'd have the same post as this next year.. so prove my feelings wrong, would you?..
