let me elaborate..

i think something's lacking on my last post.. i was in a rush when i did that coz i was in the school's internet lab.. (updating my blog on a public pc? happens on very rare occasions).. okay, back to the song.. i for one am really moved by this song.. to where? i don't know.. all i know is that when i hear it, i feel renewed.. like i can surrender.. like i can let Jesus take over all of my problems.. i know i'm not the only person who's got problems.. and maybe my so-called problems were not as heavy as others'.. i have my fair share though.. and i'm aware that other souls are also hurting.. that's why i would like them to hear it too.. so they can also feel peace even for the 4 minutes duration of the song.. you know, there's also this other song which is by MercyMe called "i can only imagine".. a gospel song as well.. amazing.. has an r&b feel to it and the vocals justified the appeal of the song.. of course nice lyrics too..

i stopped typing and went reading the lyrics of the Underwood song.. i'm back and finally have an idea of its meaning.. as the title implies, "jesus take the wheel" is about letting Jesus guide us.. although we always think that we can control our lives on our own, realistically that's not how it works.. not that i'm saying we should just let Jesus "live" our lives and do nothing.. it would really make a huge difference if someone is guiding us.. especially when we don't know where to go and what to do.. (which in my case, comes often).. isn't it more lightening when we know someone's with us.. though not physically.. that someone's there to listen anytime we need to speak.. how relieving that would be?..

*/ typing the last paragraph made me appreciate the song more..
